My community is in Union County Georgia. The world as of July 2009 was 21, 252 (City-Data.com, Sept). Union County is located at the center of the northerly Georgia Mountains. The area was originally inhabited by indigene Americans; the Cherokee Indians. The white settlers moved in with the discovery of favorable in 1820 (familypedia.wikia.com, 2011).
My community is 95.7% white, according to the census data, and most of the the great unwashed in this area are racist; at to the lowest degree thats my opinion. I have lived here for six years, and I hear how the local residents talk about African Americans, and they are usually referred to with a name that I cannot drop by the wayside myself to write; let alone speak.
The members of my community look same me, as far has skin color. I am offend Cherokee Indian, still apart from my black hair, no one would know. With the hereditary pattern that Union County has from the Cherokee Indian tribe, I would assume more resided here, exclusively most of the Native Cherokees were forced to join the Trail of Tears, and outside from Georgia. Today most have moved across the put in line into North Carolina. Several places in Union County acquired their name calling from the Cherokees. The Chestoe area, which is located here, is in the highest elevations of Georgia.



Chestoe is a Cherokee Indian name that translates to where the rabbits leaping (thebuyeragency.com, 2011).
The leaders in my community treat me as they do the other residents. I dont agree with some of the decisions that my community leaders make. There are many populate that have bought second homes here that are originally from Floridia. just about of the locals refer to them as Floridiots. They took their money when they sold the land to them, but once they move into the neighborhood, it is a different story. People get out try to receive a higher price for service if they think the people are from Floridia.
